Sky News contributor Prue MacSween has criticised the “fools” who “bought the lies” of the Andrews government.

Her comments come after the Victorian government scrapped three concession schemes which helped almost 300,000 Victorians keep their lights on.

“All the numb nuts who bought the lie of $275 – I mean give me a break,” Ms MacSween told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“I didn’t understand why they were so excited by it because our energy bills have gone up by about three times, $275 wouldn’t cut much off at all.

“But this whole myth about renewables are going to save the world – we are heading for a huge crisis.

“If we think we’re paying too much now, you just wait.

“As far as the fools who voted for Andrews and bought his lies … sadly it’s all coming back to bite them on the backside.”
