“Even if Trump had the funds to fill up the SPR, barrels can only be added at a rate of ~3 million barrels / month. Given that it currently has 415 million barrels, it would take 7–8 years to fill the SPR up to its 714 million-barrel capacity. Some say it could be done a little faster, but the fact remains it cannot be done overnight, and Trump couldn’t have done it during his 13 months in office so far.” – Chris Martz
