Following the example of the climate chaotic: First politician sticks firmly

The phrase “politicians stick to their job” has a new meaning since yesterday, Thursday: In Cologne, a city councillor has actually stuck to the lectern.

“It is not the protests of climate activists that endanger human life, civil society and democracy, but the inaction and refusal of politics,” says councilwoman Nicolin Gabrysch at today’s city council meeting in Cologne while clinging to the lectern.

Thank you Nicolin!

Gabrysch, since 2020 for the voter group “Climate Friends” in the Cologne City Council, stuck to the lectern during the meeting. She justified her action with concern for the climate. She said:

There can and must be no more like this. That is why I am now making sure that things do not continue as usual, at least here and now.

Then she smeared glue on her left hand and placed it on the lectern. However, without the desired effect:

Mayor Henriette Reker (independent) continued the meeting after a second lectern.
