The Federation of Trade and Distribution (which brings together most of France\u2019s big retail players) announced on August 18th that they would now welcome \u201cugly\u201d fruits and vegetables onto their shelves. That\u2019s right: the exceptional drought across France has pushed supermarkets to be more tolerant.
