Like that of Joe Biden? George W. Bush? Here is a summary of federal subsidies\/initiatives for commercial nuclear power from the US Department of Energy (to date).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION IS WORKING TO MAKE ENERGY MORE AFFORDABLE AND RELIABLE INCLUDING ADVANCING NUCLEAR POWER<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Trump administration is reversing the previous administration\u2019s energy subtraction policies which made energy more expensive, and the grid less reliable.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Under the Biden administration, electricity prices increased by 30%\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/04\/12\/us-news\/electricity-costs-soar-under-biden-administrationenergy-prices-soar-under-biden-administration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">13 times faster than the previous seven years<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>More than&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.energy.gov\/articles\/department-energy-releases-report-evaluating-us-grid-reliability-and-security\">100 gigawatts (GW) of firm reliable<\/a>&nbsp;power were projected to retire by 2030.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.energy.gov\/articles\/department-energy-releases-report-evaluating-us-grid-reliability-and-security\">22 GW of firm reliable<\/a>&nbsp;power were projected to be added to the grid.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Without the election of President Trump and a dramatic shift in energy policy,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.energy.gov\/articles\/department-energy-releases-report-evaluating-us-grid-reliability-and-security\">blackouts could have increased 100 times<\/a>&nbsp;in 2030.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nuclear Power will play an important role in unleashing more affordable, reliable and secure electricity to the American people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Department of Energy (DOE) is fully committed to unleashing America\u2019s next nuclear renaissance, from reinvigorating domestic supply chains to delivering gigawatts of new reactors.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Energy Department has taken numerous&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.energy.gov\/ne\/articles\/9-key-takeaways-president-trumps-executive-orders-nuclear-energy\">actions<\/a>&nbsp;to accelerate the development of next generation nuclear technology and restore domestic supply chains to accomplish President Trump\u2019s goal of expanding American nuclear energy capacity from approximately 100 GW in 2024 to 400 GW by 2050. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Building out the next generation of American nuclear is an investment in our growing energy needs today, and once built, will become another 80-year asset for future generations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thanks to the Energy Dominance Financing Program (EDF), established under the Working Families Tax Cut, the Energy Department will continue to sponsor the development of nuclear projects in the U.S.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION AND DOE HAVE BEEN UNLEASHING INFRASTRUCTURE AND SUPPLY CHAINS TO EXPAND NUCLEAR POWER IN THE U.S.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Trump administration has already taken numerous actions to expand nuclear power, infrastructure, and supply chains for nuclear fuel in the U.S.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>January 2026: The Energy Department announced a $2.7 billion investment to strengthen domestic enrichment, in support of President Trump\u2019s commitment to expand U.S. capacity for low-enriched uranium (LEU) and jumpstart new supply chains and innovations for high-assay low-enriched uranium.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>December 2025: The Energy Department&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.energy.gov\/articles\/energy-department-selects-tva-and-holtec-advance-deployment-us-small-modular-reactors\">awarded<\/a>&nbsp;$800 million to TVA and Holtec to advance deployment of U.S. small modular reactors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>November 18, 2025: DOE announced the financial close of a $1 billion loan to Constellation to help finance the Crane Clean Energy Center Restart project, a nuclear power plant located on the Susquehanna River in Londonderry Township, Pennsylvania.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>October 28, 2025: The US Government&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/westinghousenuclear.com\/strategic-partnership\/press-releases\/brookfield\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">established<\/a>&nbsp;a strategic partnership with Cameco Corporation and Brookfield Asset Management to accelerate the development of Westinghouse\u2019s nuclear reactor technologies in the US and abroad.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>September 30, 2025: The Energy Department&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.energy.gov\/articles\/energy-department-selects-four-companies-advanced-nuclear-fuel-line-pilot-projects\">selected<\/a>&nbsp;four companies for Advanced Nuclear Fuel Line Pilot Projects in order to strengthen domestic supply chains for nuclear fuel.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>August 26, 2025: The Energy Department&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.energy.gov\/articles\/us-department-energy-distribute-next-round-haleu-us-nuclear-industry\">made<\/a>&nbsp;a second round of conditional commitments to provide high-assay low-enriched uranium to three U.S. companies to meet near-term fuel needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>August 12, 2025: The Energy Department&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.energy.gov\/articles\/department-energy-announces-initial-selections-new-reactor-pilot-program\">announced<\/a>&nbsp;the 11 initial selections for President Trump\u2019s Nuclear Reactor Pilot Program to move their technologies toward deployment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>July 24, 2025: The Energy Department&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.energy.gov\/articles\/doe-announces-site-selection-ai-data-center-and-energy-infrastructure-development-federal\">announced<\/a>&nbsp;site selections for AI data center and energy infrastructure development on federal lands.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>July 16, 2025: The Energy Department&nbsp;<a
