In only two days, it has produced five X-class solar flares and shows no signs of slowing down. The giant sunspot is turning to face Earth, and we will be squarely inside its \u2018strike zone\u2019 for the rest of the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">NOAA says that minor&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/spaceweather.com\/glossary\/g1.jpg\">G1<\/a>-class geomagnetic storms are likely on&nbsp;<strong>Feb 5-6<\/strong>&nbsp;when a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swpc.noaa.gov\/phenomena\/coronal-mass-ejections\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Coronal Mass Ejection&nbsp;<\/a>(CME) is expected to graze Earth\u2019s magnetic field. The CME was hurled into space by a powerful&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/spaceweather.com\/images2026\/02feb26\/x8_red.gif\">X8-class solar flare<\/a>&nbsp;on Feb.1st. It has an increasingly unstable \u2018delta-class\u2019 magnetic field, and it is rapidly adding new spots.
