real deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite the globalist narrative drive and the mainstream media push, consumers are choosing real meat and dairy products and passing on lab-grown steaks and cricket protein snacks. After years of hype around futuristic food tech, signs show that people aren\u2019t buying what the experts are selling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some recent stories show that 2026 will see the return to real food options. To begin with, \u0178nsect, once the largest insect\u2011protein producer in Europe,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.petfoodindustry.com\/insect-based-cat-and-dog-food\/news\/15773350\/french-insect-protein-producer-nsect-enters-judicial-liquidation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&nbsp;is essentially bankrupt<\/a>&nbsp;after failing to secure the financing needed to continue its&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/agfundernews.com\/judicial-liquidation-for-ynsect-as-insect-farming-sector-struggles-to-become-competitive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">operations and execute its restructuring plan<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u0178nsect said via a statement that it \u201chas been unable to secure the necessary financing for its continuation plan within the required timeframe,\u201d citing \u201cdifficulties faced by startups in climate-related or agricultural sectors in raising funds.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u0178nsect will close its industrial-scale facility near Dole. The Keprea facility&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/france3-regions.franceinfo.fr\/bourgogne-franche-comte\/jura\/haut-jura\/ynsect-c-est-fini-le-site-de-dole-repris-par-keprea-lui-continue-3259564.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">will continue<\/a>, with a new focus on producing fertilizers from insect waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a statement, Emmanuel Pinto, president of \u0178nsect, said the company \u201cnow has solid technologies and an operational model, even though the required funding could not be secured in time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe hope that the significant technical and industrial skills developed by the teams at \u0178nsect, along with the established business relationships, will find productive use and contribute significantly to both Europe\u2019s protein independence and the fight against climate change.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As PJ Media\u2019s Catherine Salgado notes, it is at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/catherinesalgado\/2025\/12\/30\/no-eating-ze-bugs-europes-biggest-insect-company-goes-bankrupt-n4947696\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">least one positive sign<\/a>&nbsp;that the population of Europe has not completely rolled over to the globalists yet:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But when people have a choice, only a very small number of them will willingly eat worms and scorpions and ants instead of hamburgers and roast chicken and bacon.
