They changed the name<\/strong>\u00a0to climate change to suggest whatever\u00a0the temperature extreme was it was\u00a0<strong>all\u00a0due to carbon emissions<\/strong>\u00a0caused in\u00a0general by\u00a0humans,\u00a0but<strong>\u00a0in particular\u00a0westerners who were polluting the planet\u00a0with heat.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>That was the dominant&nbsp;narrative.&nbsp;<strong>I didn\u2019t think<\/strong>&nbsp;in my lifetime&nbsp;that I would see&nbsp;<strong>an end to that&nbsp;dominance, even though there were&nbsp;inconsistencies<\/strong>.&nbsp;The&nbsp;<strong>planet is 4 billion years old<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>man<\/strong>&nbsp;has only been here&nbsp;<strong>for 300,000&nbsp;years<\/strong>. And we only have&nbsp;<strong>accurate&nbsp;record&nbsp;keeping of temperature&nbsp;fluctuations for the last 150 years<\/strong>. So\u00a0there was a lot of skepticism both by\u00a0individuals who were influential and by\u00a0the general public for good cause. So\u00a0<strong>what is causing this?<\/strong>\u00a0Well, \u00a0in reference to Bill Gates the first\u00a0thing is\u00a0<strong>artificial intelligence<\/strong>. It\u2019s going to\u00a0require a unprecedented level of\u00a0electrical generation. It takes\u00a0<strong>huge\u00a0amounts of electricity<\/strong>. You guys, we all have to reduce our emissions. And then what does it do? Two things.<strong>\u00a0It subsidizes cheap export of solar panels and wind turbines<\/strong>\u00a0below the cost of production to bankrupt competing industries in Europe, the United States,<strong>\u00a0to get the West hooked on solar and wind<\/strong>\u00a0even though it is a very expensive and unreliable source of electricity.\u00a0\u00a0Meanwhile, as we get hooked on Chinese exports,<strong>\u00a0they build two to three coal or nuclear plants per month. Why would he buy a seaside\u00a0estate at Martha\u2019s Vineyard or one on\u00a0the beach of Hawaii,\u00a0if he really did\u00a0believe that the oceans would rise and\u00a0flood his multi-million dollar\u00a0investment? Why would\u00a0<strong>John Kerry<\/strong>\u00a0fly all\u00a0over the world on a private plane and\u00a0then tell the rest of us that we\u2019re\u00a0flying too much commercial,\u00a0when his\u00a0carbon imprint was a thousand times more\u00a0than the individual Americans? Why would<strong>\u00a0people on the California coast<\/strong>\u00a0say we\u00a0have to have wind and solar and we have\u00a0to get electricity up to 40 cents a\u00a0kilowatt\u00a0because we want to\u00a0use less fossil fuels. \u00a0Meanwhile,\u00a0the\u00a0temperature from La Jolla to Berkeley is\u00a0between what,\u00a065 and 75F year round,\u00a0where here in Bakersfield or\u00a0Fresno or
