Harrison Ford<\/a> has said that Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s assault upon measures to address the climate crisis \u201cscares the shit out of me\u201d and makes the US president among the worst criminals in history.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

In a blistering attack upon the president, Ford told the Guardian that Trump \u201cdoesn\u2019t have any policies, he has whims. It scares the shit out of me. The ignorance, the hubris, the lies, the perfidy. [Trump] knows better, but he\u2019s an instrument of the status quo and he\u2019s making money, hand over fist, while the world goes to hell in a handbasket.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Climate change was \u201cthe greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world\u201d, Trump said during a speech to the United Nations last month<\/a>. \u201cIf you don\u2019t get away from this green scam, your country is going to fail. You need strong borders and traditional energy sources if you are going to be great again.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI knew it was coming, I have been preaching this stuff for 30 years,\u201d Ford said of these climate-fueled disasters. \u201cEverything we\u2019ve said about climate change has come true. Why is that not sufficient that it alarms people that they change behaviors? Because of the entrenched status quo.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think I can safely speak for everyone on WUWT, that thanks to Harrison Ford\u2019s climate leadership, we hereby all agree to only fly in private jets when we have to, when we can afford it, when it is convenient, when we feel like it, or when we can\u2019t be bothered to wait in the airport queue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
