This is not how you celebrate Columbus Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A pair of crazed climate activists were busted Sunday after hurling red paint at a mural of Christopher Columbus \u2014 in a bizarre caught-on-camera art attack at a Spanish museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two vandals, members of the radical group \u201cFuturo Vegetal,\u201d were caught on shocking video throwing red paint at \u201cFirst Tribute to Christopher Columbus,\u201d a massive mural of the Italian-born explorer painted in 1892 by artist Jose Garnelo and displayed at Madrid\u2019s Naval Museum, Spain\u2019s El Pais reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activist group, whose name loosely translates to \u201cVegetarian Future,\u201d also unfurled a banner reading, \u201cOctober 12, nothing to celebrate. Ecosocial justice,\u201d the outlet reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spain, which funded the explorer\u2019s voyage in 1492, celebrates it\u2019s version of Columbus Day on October 12, while the holiday is being celebrated on Monday in the US.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
