solar panels as the main driver of clean electricity supply growth for the rest of 2025, as the end of the Northern Hemisphere summer brings less sunlight but windier conditions at turbine level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So far this year, Europe&#8217;s wind generation levels have come in well below normal due to lengthy wind droughts, which have led to a rare year-over-year drop in Europe&#8217;s total clean electricity supplies.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Total clean electricity supply in Europe fell by 2% in the first eight months of the year compared to the same period of last year, per the Ember data.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Current weather forecasts are bullish on wind speeds (and therefore, wind power generation) from the second half of September.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Autumn is typically a period of higher wind speeds.
