Germany\u2019s Berliner Zeitung reports<\/a> that this year\u2019s rainy and not so warm summer has taken on toll on Berlin\u2019s public outdoor swimming pools. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

20% visitor decline<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to a cool and rainy summer, Berlin\u2019s outdoor swimming pools have seen a significant drop in visitor numbers, with 300,000 fewer visits compared to the previous year, a decline of 20%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Early this summer climate alarmists went hysterical as some climate \u201cexperts\u201d warned the coming summer would be \u201chellish\u201d and be among the record hottest, if not the hottest. Instead, it was a rainy one with little heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This has negatively impacted revenues and forced the postponement or reduction of planned investments, according to the Berliner Zeitung<\/em><\/a>. Some pools have also stopped heating their water to save on energy costs, resulting in colder temperatures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
