There has been a \u201cmarked cooling trend\u201d across the North Atlantic in recent decades (Ryu and Kang, 2025<\/a><\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This includes ocean heat content decline (OHC) since the 2000s, and cooling sea surface temperatures (SST) since the mid-1990s.<\/p>\n\n\n
