History demonstrates that life has\u00a0existed and thrived in much warmer\u00a0temperatures,\u00a0and that temperatures have\u00a0been much higher without the human\u00a0influence of industrial CO2 class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Historical temperature records indicate&nbsp;that the temperature of the Earth&nbsp;naturally fluctuates over time as it has&nbsp;for the past 65 million years. &nbsp;In just&nbsp;the<strong>&nbsp;past 2,000 years<\/strong>&nbsp;there have been&nbsp;<strong>two&nbsp;warm periods and two cold periods.<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;The&nbsp;Roman warm period,&nbsp;also called the Roman&nbsp;optimum,&nbsp;was known as a time of&nbsp;prosperity. &nbsp;This of course goes against&nbsp;the entire narrative that warming&nbsp;threatens human life. &nbsp;Following the Roman&nbsp;warm period came the cold dark age, &nbsp;the&nbsp;medieval warm period,&nbsp;and the Little Ice&nbsp;Age. &nbsp;The&nbsp;<strong>current warming f<\/strong>rom 1800&nbsp;onwards is the warming of<strong>&nbsp;recovery from&nbsp;the Little Ice Age.<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;However temperatures&nbsp;are&nbsp;<strong>still cold compared to distant times<\/strong>&nbsp;and continue to visibly fluctuate. &nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Given\u00a0this evidence, the claim by scientists and news pundits that 3\u00b0 Fahrenheit is the\u00a0end of civilization is not cause for\u00a0alarm. \u00a0Because it is not unprecedented\u00a0and because temperatures will continue\u00a0to fluctuate\u00a0today. \u00a0The argument for<strong>\u00a0climate change<\/strong>\u00a0is\u00a0rooted in the<strong>\u00a0belief that warmer weather\u00a0and CO2 emissions have been causing\u00a0natural disasters<\/strong>\u00a0to become more\u00a0frequent and more violent. \u00a0\u00a0However, after\u00a0studying hurricane and wildfire data,\u00a0it\u00a0became clear that actual activity goes\u00a0against this global warming narrative.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure other<strong>\u00a0factors affecting temperature<\/strong>. \u00a0Some\u00a0examples are volcanic activity,\u00a0cosmic\u00a0rays,\u00a0and the sun. \u00a0This highlights how if\u00a0we were to<strong>\u00a0limit CO2,<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0it would\u00a0<strong>only stunt\u00a0biodiversity<\/strong>\u00a0while having almost no\u00a0effect on temperature. \u00a0Because of the\u00a0fact that It\u00a0comes as no surprise that most\u00a0farmers use high levels of it in their\u00a0green houses to produce a better crop. \u00a0In\u00a0this picture four pine trees are shown\u00a0growing at different levels of added CO2, from normal atmospheric CO2 to an added\u00a0150,\u00a0300,\u00a0and eventually 450 parts per\u00a0million. \u00a0<strong>More CO2 is evidently beneficial\u00a0for plant growth<\/strong>. \u00a0Physicist Lubos Motl, former professor at Harvard,\u00a0summarized\u00a0the importance of CO2, saying \u201cIt is\u00a0the key compound that plants need to\u00a0grow,\u00a0and indirectly every organism\u00a0needs to have food. \u00a0At the end it is\u00a0clear that CO2 is not,\u00a0as the New York\u00a0Times frighteningly put it, a tiny bit of\u00a0arsenic or cobra venom. \u00a0\u00a0Nor will it cause\u00a0famine as many claim;<strong>\u00a0if CO2 increases it\u00a0will only green the planet and increase\u00a0the food supply.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure not\u00a0new over the course of history,\u00a0as it can\u00a0be seen through the\u00a0Aztecs and even in the Salem witch\u00a0trials. \u00a0It has once again become relevant\u00a0in today\u2019s culture with policies such as\u00a0carbon taxes and individual CO2 budgets\u00a0being proposed in our governments. \u00a0We\u00a0are seeing\u00a0the climate issue creep\u00a0into every part of our class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>This is why\u00a0I I found it<strong>\u00a0necessary to pursue the\u00a0truth and the climate debate.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0In my\u00a0speech I presented the scientific\u00a0evidence behind historical temperature\u00a0change and natural disasters, \u00a0discovering\u00a0the unreliability of climate data,\u00a0the small role of CO2 in climate,\u00a0and its\u00a0essential role in biodiversity. \u00a0\u00a0As a\u00a0result I\u2019ve concluded that the\u00a0<strong>climate\u00a0crisis is a hoax<\/strong>\u00a0that we must arm\u00a0ourselves against
