The starting point has largely been a focus on<strong>\u00a0vehicles that burn fossil fuels<\/strong>. She says just&nbsp;<strong>walk or bike instead.<\/strong>\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>This \u201cnew\u201d and \u201cadditional\u201d strategy, as Creem calls it, is simply&nbsp;<strong>another effort to separate us from our cars<\/strong>&nbsp;in what we could loosely call the autozoic era. Similar actions include:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>California\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/issuesinsights.com\/2022\/09\/09\/californias-net-zero-energy-model-is-already-a-disaster-so-why-would-the-rest-of-the-u-s-copy-it\/\">EV mandate<\/a>, which spread like a virus to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ww2.arb.ca.gov\/our-work\/programs\/advanced-clean-cars-program\/states-have-adopted-californias-vehicle-regulations\">more than a dozen other states<\/a>.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>The same state\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ocregister.com\/2016\/05\/29\/a-diet-to-give-california-drivers-indigestion\/\">road diet<\/a>.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pacificresearch.org\/trendy-15-minute-cities-get-their-15-minutes-of-fame\/\">Traffic filters<\/a>, a diktat \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/2022\/12\/11\/green-war-cars-take-mad-new-turn\/\">you might expect in a totalitarian state<\/a>.\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.city-journal.org\/article\/urbanisms-newest-controversy\">Fifteen-minute cities<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pacificresearch.org\/where-drivers-continue-to-starve\/\">neckdowns<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pacificresearch.org\/a-great-highway-but-not-for-driving\/\">permanently closed roads<\/a>.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Mileage taxes and bike lanes taking up ever-larger swaths of concrete and asphalt at the expense of motorists.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>The termination of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/issuesinsights.com\/2022\/07\/26\/you-will-own-nothing-and-like-it-the-real-clean-energy-future\/\">private ownership of cars<\/a>, and the elimination of parking spaces.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Do not think we are exaggerating, that<strong>&nbsp;there is<\/strong>&nbsp;no&nbsp;<strong>war on cars<\/strong>, because&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thewaroncars.org\/\">there is<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The&nbsp;<strong>authoritarian<\/strong>&nbsp;urges behind the&nbsp;<strong>assault on unfettered free travel<\/strong>&nbsp;are strong. But the political left wants to take away people\u2019s right to make their own decisions because it suits both lower-case and upper-case \u201cd\u201d democrats\u2019 tyrannical impulses.<strong>&nbsp;If anyone needs to take a hike, literally and metaphorically, it should be anti-car warriors.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img ban on cars registered before 1997.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Marine Le Pen condemned the<strong>&nbsp;ZFEs as \u201cno-rights zones\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;during her presidential campaign for National Rally in 2022, and her Communist counterpart warned of a \u201csocial bomb\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The head of the right-wing Republicans in the Assembly, Laurent Wauquiez, talked of<strong>&nbsp;\u201cfreeing the French from stifling, punitive ecology\u201d<\/strong>, and on the far left, Cl\u00e9mence Guett\u00e9 said green policies should not be imposed \u201con the backs of the working classes\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Green Senator<\/strong>&nbsp;Anne Souyris told BFMTV that<strong>&nbsp;\u201ckilling [the ZFEs] also means killing hundreds of thousands of people\u201d \u2026<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The legislation still has to go through the upper house, though it is expected to. And it doesn\u2019t stop tyrant-municipalities from imposing their own small tourist-deterrent zones. But<strong>&nbsp;spread the word in case any of our politicians think this idea is not radioactively awful.<\/strong>&nbsp;They need to know it\u2019s been tried and failed so we don\u2019t have to
