He&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/michael-mezzatesta_spain-blackouts-barcelona-activity-7326285973636419584-3Bcs?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=member_desktop&amp;rcm=ACoAAAGV90kBtoxOIMAg-JwpHsSY2-j34xhgcC8\">states<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The mainstream economic narrative in the USA would have us believe that power blackouts are always a bad thing \u2013 just think of all that lost productivity! Think of the effect on the GDP!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>So I was curious to see this video about the recent blackouts in Spain rack up millions of views on Instagram&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/15.0.3\/svg\/1f447.svg\" alt=\"\ud83d\udc47\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Back to Nature, the Garden of Eden? Off the grid for happiness and solidarity? Small is beautiful? Less is more? Negawatts?&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.masterresource.org\/degrowth-movement\/degrowth-ultimate-solution\/\">Degrowth<\/a>? \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.masterresource.org\/deep-ecology\/eco-nut-vs-human-betterment\/\">I campaign for the extinction of the human race<\/a>\u201c? Sammy Roth of the&nbsp;<em>Los Angeles Times<\/em>&nbsp;digs the pain too. \u201cWould it be easier and less expensive to limit climate change \u2014 and its deadly combination of worsening heat, fire and drought and flood,\u201d he&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/environment\/newsletter\/2023-07-20\/would-an-occasional-blackout-help-solve-climate-change-boiling-point\">asks<\/a>, \u201cif we were willing to live with the occasional blackout?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And how about&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.masterresource.org\/totalitarianism-in-energy\/fossil-fuel-totalitarian-thought\/\">Big Brother authoritarianism<\/a>&nbsp;to achieve all this?&nbsp;<strong>[1]<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Progressive Left is being pillared to stop pushing 20 percent issues (80 percent nonsupport).
