href=\"https:\/\/notrickszone.com\/author\/kenneth-richard\/\">Kenneth Richard<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to a\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/publication\/386894892_Variability_of_sea_ice_concentration_over_Antarctica_during_recent_decade\">new study<\/a><\/strong>, the recent short-term (2011-2022) decreasing Antarctic Sea ice concentration (SIC) trend has not offset the overall 43-year (1979-2022) trend of increasing Antarctic SIC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The strongly negative sea surface temperatures and SIC correlation coefficient (-0.73) indicates the waters around Antarctica have undergone a long-term cooling trend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image
