report warns that by 2050:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Over half of England\u2019s top farmland, one in four homes and half of roads and rail lines will be at risk of flooding<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Heat-related deaths could pass 10,000 in an average year<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Unchecked climate change could cost 7% of GDP.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>It said climate change is already hitting hard:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Extreme heat buckles rail lines, fuels wildfires and drives up food bills<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Heatwaves wiped out a hospital data centre, cancelling appointments when the health service is &#8220;already on its knees&#8221;<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Children are toiling through exams in boiling school halls<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/government-warned-it-is-setting-country-up-for-disaster-unless-it-better-prepares-uk-for-heavy-flooding-and-intense-heat-13358235\">https:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/government-warned-it-is-setting-country-up-for-disaster-unless-it-better-prepares-uk-for-heavy-flooding-and-intense-heat-13358235<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shame on Sky for giving credence to this BS!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whatever effect a few days of heat in summer may have, it is certainly dwarfed by the impacts of cold in winter \u2013 disruption to transport, hospital overloads, schools shut because of snow. The list goes on and on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But it is the forecast for 2050 which really shows up this report to be a fraudulent attempt to scare the public into accepting Net Zero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The idea that our climate would be any noticeably different in 25 years time is ridiculous. It certainly has not changed a jot in the last 25 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And anybody who claims that half of farmland and 7 million homes will be at risk of flooding should not be allowed near any position of authority.
