Although they are up on the low levels of a year ago, they are struggling to get above the 20% level set in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sales of EVs have also been brought forward to avoid the vehicle duty increases taking effect form this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It must be as plain as a pikestaff now that the public are not going to willingly give up the cars they want, and buy electric as the government demands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are rumours that Starmer will announce a relaxation of the ZEV mandate this week, but only its complete abolition will resolve the problem. And it is clear that Miliband will not allow that.
