Germany\u2019s online Apollo News<\/strong> here reports<\/a> on what Germany\u2019s former Green Party leader, Simone Peter<\/strong>, suggests a cause of the huge earthquake in Southeast Asia: climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And Europeans better worry about that, she adds!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Apollo<\/a>, Ms. Peter bases her claim on an article that once appeared in the German leftist TAZ newspaper, which reported how a geologist speculated that melting of glaciers could possibly <\/em>trigger earthquakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Peter reacted to the earthquake: \u201cWow, the massive quake in Myanmar and Thailand was also measurable in Europe.\u201d \u2026 \u2018\u201cWe know that earthquakes will continue to increase with the climate crisis, this is worrying for many parts of the world.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGeologists are increasingly in agreement that there is a link between the climate crisis and earthquakes,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peter\u2019s claim are of course utterly preposterous as there are no glaciers anywhere near Thailand and Myanmar to begin with. Earthquakes are instead caused by moving tectonic plates that have been shifting for hundreds of millions of years<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If Peter\u2019s claims haven\u2019t convinced you by now that the \u201cclimate crisis\u201d is a hoax perpetrated by greens and leftists, then nothing will. Consider yourself scientifically hopeless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
