President Donald Trump is calling for the reversal of several Biden-era green energy regulations on household appliances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump announced in a Tuesday post<\/a> on Truth Social that he was directing Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Secretary Lee Zeldin to begin reversing water standard regulations on household appliances including sinks, dishwashers, showers and washing machines. Trump\u2019s announcement comes after he has enacted a slew<\/a> of executive actions since returning to the White House aimed at overturning many Biden-era green energy policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am hereby instructing Secretary Lee Zeldin to immediately go back to my Environmental Orders, which were terminated by Crooked Joe Biden, on Water Standards and Flow pertaining to SINKS, SHOWERS, TOILETS, WASHING MACHINES, DISHWASHERS, etc., and to likewise go back to the common sense standards on LIGHTBULBS, that were put in place by the Trump Administration, but terminated by Crooked Joe,\u201d Trump wrote in the Truth Social post. \u201cI look forward to signing these Orders. THANK YOU!!!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Former President Joe Biden introduced<\/a> various green energy<\/a> regulations as part of his signature climate agenda<\/a>, including tightening energy efficiency regulations<\/a> on a range of household appliances including dishwashers<\/a>, gas stoves,<\/a> light bulbs<\/a> and water heaters.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since Trump returned<\/a> to the Oval Office on Jan. 20, the Trump-Vance administration has made several<\/a> moves to roll back Biden\u2019s energy policies, including moving<\/a> to scrap the Biden-Harris administration\u2019s strict fuel economy standards for vehicles and halting<\/a> funding for the Biden-Harris administration\u2019s electric vehicle charging network program. The president also signed an executive order<\/a> on Jan. 20 to \u201cunleash\u201d America\u2019s \u201caffordable and reliable energy and natural resources.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn recent years, burdensome and ideologically motivated regulations have impeded the development of these resources, limited the generation of reliable and affordable electricity, reduced job creation, and inflicted high energy costs upon our citizens,\u201d Trump stated in the executive order. \u201cThese high energy costs devastate American consumers by driving up the cost of transportation, heating, utilities, farming, and manufacturing, while weakening our national security.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
