tag.<\/strong>&nbsp;Enter&nbsp;<strong>Lion Electric<\/strong>, a Canadian electric school bus company that was handed nearly&nbsp;<strong>$160 million in taxpayer-funded subsidies<\/strong>\u2014only to&nbsp;<strong>collapse into bankruptcy<\/strong>, leaving school districts across America high and dry\u200b.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, watchdogs like&nbsp;<strong>EPA administrator Lee Zeldin<\/strong>&nbsp;are demanding answers, exposing yet another&nbsp;<strong>mismanaged, wasteful, and completely avoidable<\/strong>&nbsp;green energy failure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>$160 Million to Nowhere<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of Biden\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>$5 billion Clean School Bus program<\/strong>, Lion Electric was awarded&nbsp;<strong>$159 million<\/strong>&nbsp;to produce 435 electric buses. The administration touted it as a&nbsp;<strong>hallmark of its climate agenda<\/strong>, with Kamala Harris herself front and center, gushing over the initiative\u200b.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fast forward to today:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lion Electric has stopped manufacturing.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>It has laid off its workforce.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>It hasn\u2019t delivered $95 million worth of promised buses<\/strong>\u00a0to 55 school districts\u200b.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Superintendents across the country are left wondering whether they\u2019ll&nbsp;<strong>ever receive<\/strong>&nbsp;the buses they were promised. \u201cNo buses have been delivered to our district. We are on hold,\u201d said Dawn Wallace, superintendent of Ohio Valley School District in Ohio\u200b.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Warnings Were Ignored<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here\u2019s the kicker:&nbsp;<strong>Lion Electric was in deep financial trouble long before Biden started funneling money into it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Since 2020, the company has lost $301.6 million.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Its stock price has collapsed from $33.48 per share to just $0.08<\/strong>\u2014a staggering 99.7% wipeout\u200b.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>It was hit with a class-action lawsuit<\/strong>\u00a0after allegedly misleading investors with \u201cgrossly unrealistic financial projections\u201d\u200b.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And yet, the Biden administration&nbsp;<strong>kept the money flowing<\/strong>, rewarding a failing company because it fit the \u201cgreen energy\u201d narrative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Lee Zeldin Calls Out the Corruption<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unlike the rubber-stamp bureaucrats who handed Lion Electric millions with&nbsp;<strong>no oversight<\/strong>, EPA administrator&nbsp;<strong>Lee Zeldin is demanding answers<\/strong>. He pointed to an undercover video from Project Veritas in which a&nbsp;<strong>Biden official admitted that the EPA frantically pushed billions into green projects<\/strong>&nbsp;before the administration left office\u200b.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zeldin&nbsp;<strong>isn\u2019t buying the excuses<\/strong>, stating:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThey knew they were wasting hard-earned American taxpayer dollars\u2026 The American people deserve answers. I am committed to delivering for them.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">House Energy and Commerce Chairman&nbsp;<strong>Brett Guthrie<\/strong>&nbsp;(R-KY) also blasted the administration, saying:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Biden-Harris Administration spent four years wasting taxpayer dollars pursuing its Green New Deal agenda\u2026 Communities across the country are paying the price\u201d\u200b.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Joliet Factory Debacle<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the biggest symbols of this failure is&nbsp;<strong>Lion Electric\u2019s 900,000-square-foot factory in Joliet, Illinois<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The plant was supposed to\u00a0<strong>create 1,400 jobs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Local officials hyped it as a\u00a0<strong>clean energy success story<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Today, it\u2019s a\u00a0<strong>ghost town<\/strong>, with Lion Electric halting operations and laying off workers\u200b.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even Joliet\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>economic development director<\/strong>&nbsp;admitted, \u201cNow we have in our community a large space that is potentially going to sit vacant for a while.\u201d Translation:&nbsp;<strong>We were conned, and now we\u2019re stuck with an empty factory<\/strong>\u200b.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Another Green Energy Scam Implodes<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lion Electric\u2019s collapse follows a&nbsp;<strong>familiar pattern<\/strong>&nbsp;of&nbsp;<strong>government-funded green energy disasters<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Biden administration throws taxpayer money at a politically favored company.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Company was already financially unstable but gets millions anyway.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Company burns through cash, fails to deliver, then collapses.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Taxpayers and local communities are left with nothing but empty promises.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We saw it with&nbsp;<strong>Solyndra.<\/strong>&nbsp;We saw it with&nbsp;<strong>Proterra.<\/strong>&nbsp;And now, we\u2019re seeing it with&nbsp;<strong>Lion Electric<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The difference this time?&nbsp;<strong>Lee Zeldin and House Republicans aren\u2019t letting Biden off the hook.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Bottom Line<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;<strong>Biden administration\u2019s obsession with green energy subsidies<\/strong>&nbsp;has led to&nbsp;<strong>billions in waste, failed projects, and broken promises.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile,&nbsp;<strong>school districts still need buses<\/strong>, communities still need jobs, and American taxpayers are&nbsp;<strong>once again paying the price<\/strong>&nbsp;for Biden\u2019s reckless spending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s time to&nbsp;<strong>stop funding fantasies<\/strong>&nbsp;and start demanding&nbsp;<strong>real accountability<\/strong>\u2014and thanks to&nbsp;<strong>Lee Zeldin<\/strong>, that reckoning might finally be coming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>About the feature image.
