Ladies and gentlemen, no matter how often the climate doomsday cult appears to have officially reached peak absurdity, along comes another \u201cjournalist\u201d saying: Hold my beer! No longer content with blaming hurricanes, wildfires, and bad hair days on climate change, TIME magazine has now decided that\u00a0football<\/em>\u2014yes, the sport where 300-pound men slam into each other at full speed\u2014is somehow under siege from slightly warmer weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jeffrey Kluger\u2019s article, How Climate Change Is Affecting the NFL<\/a><\/em>, is the latest entry in the ongoing competition to see who can produce the most ridiculous climate alarmism. Let\u2019s break this nonsense down, shall we?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OMG, It Was Hot in October!<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Kluger kicks off his fever dream with a tale of a 98\u00b0F<\/strong> game between the 49ers and the Cardinals on October 6, 2024. Wow, stop the presses! It was hot in California in the fall! What next? Are we going to blame climate change for earthquakes too?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For some perspective, the\u00a0highest temperature ever recorded in San Francisco in October<\/strong>\u00a0was\u00a0102\u00b0F on October 5, 1987<\/strong>. So, a 98\u00b0F Day in 2024 is hardly unprecedented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The author even notes that the 49ers changed their pants color<\/strong> to reflect more heat. That\u2019s it. That\u2019s the big climate catastrophe. Pants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, Kluger doesn\u2019t mention that the hottest<\/strong> recorded NFL game was a 1978<\/strong> season opener in St. Louis at 105\u00b0F<\/strong>, long before carbon hysteria took over the media. Nor does he mention that cold-weather games still happen every season, including the \u201cIce Bowl\u201d<\/strong> of 1967 at \u221213\u00b0F<\/strong> or the 2016 Seahawks-Vikings playoff game at \u22126\u00b0F<\/strong>. Climate change sure works in mysterious ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Whole 2.8\u00b0F Warmer! Over 54 Years!<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to Kluger, a survey by Climate Central<\/em> (a group that exists solely to push climate fearmongering) found that NFL cities have warmed by an average of 2.8\u00b0F since 1970<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s do some actual thinking here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • No mention of Urban Heat Islands and metropolitan growth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The 1970\u2019s was the period of the global cooling scare.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The average daily temperature can swing\u00a020\u201330\u00b0F<\/strong>\u00a0in a single afternoon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    This is what Kluger considers an emergency? At this rate, we\u2019ll reach Florida beach weather in Buffalo sometime around the year 2500<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    And even if this warming trend were accurate, have these geniuses considered\u00a0indoor stadiums, cooling technologies, or the simple fact that NFL players are, by definition, peak human athletes?<\/strong>\u00a0I promise you; a linebacker is more worried about getting blindsided by Aaron Donald than whether the temperature is\u00a085\u00b0F instead of 83\u00b0F<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Hot Weather Is Dangerous\u2014Unlike Football?<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Kluger gravely warns us about the risks of heat exhaustion and heat stroke<\/strong>. Oh, you mean the risks that football players have always faced<\/strong> in summer training camps?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This is the same sport where:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Players suffer\u00a0concussions, broken bones, torn ACLs, and spinal injuries<\/strong>\u00a0regularly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • A\u00a0quarterback played an entire game with a broken jaw<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Some guys have been knocked\u00a0unconscious mid-play<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      But no, the real danger is the thermometer creeping a few degrees higher<\/strong>. Right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Also, he conveniently ignores the fact that cold weather is far more dangerous than heat<\/strong>. The most common causes of weather-related deaths in the U.S. are cold exposure and hypothermia<\/strong>. But since \u201cglobal warming\u201d is the villain, you won\u2019t hear that from TIME.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      More Heat Waves = More Snowstorms?<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Kluger also tries to scare us with stories of a Buffalo Bills game buried under snow in December 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Now, stay with me here\u2014he claims that hotter temperatures caused more snow<\/strong> because the Great Lakes didn\u2019t freeze. So let me get this straight:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \n
      1. Warmer weather makes things colder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. More heat leads to\u00a0blizzards<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. The Great Lakes didn\u2019t freeze because of climate change\u2026 but they\u00a0still<\/em>\u00a0managed to dump tons of snow.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. POLAR VORTEX STRETCHING something, something, rhubarb, rhubarb, rhubarb.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        You almost have to admire the mental gymnastics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        By this logic, turning up your air conditioning makes your house hotter.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        NFL Stadiums Need to \u201cGo Green\u201d (For Some Reason)<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Of course, no climate propaganda is complete without plugging \u201cgreen\u201d sports stadiums<\/strong>. Kluger suggests that the NFL must \u201cadjust\u201d to climate change, as if the league isn\u2019t already raking in billions and handling bad weather like professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Here\u2019s an idea: if the climate warriors are so concerned, why don\u2019t they boycott the Super Bowl<\/strong>? After all, it\u2019s powered by evil fossil fuels<\/strong>, with fans flying in on CO\u2082-spewing jets<\/strong>, eating methane-emitting hamburgers<\/strong>, and cheering under carbon-intensive stadium lights<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Oh, right. They won\u2019t<\/em>, because all of this is performative nonsense<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        The Real Takeaway: It\u2019s All a Grift<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Let\u2019s be honest\u2014this article isn\u2019t about football. It\u2019s about shoehorning climate change hysteria into every aspect of life. The game could be played on the surface of the Sun<\/strong>, and these people would still find a way to blame SUVs and gas stoves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Meanwhile, NFL teams are doing just fine:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Players train in\u00a0state-of-the-art<\/strong>\u00a0facilities with climate control.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Coaches adjust for heat\u00a0like they always have<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • The league makes\u00a0billions<\/strong>, regardless of the weather.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          And here\u2019s the real kicker: the NFL is actually expanding into hotter regions<\/strong>. There\u2019s a team in Las Vegas<\/strong>, a city that gets 120\u00b0F summers<\/strong>. Why? Because none of these climate scares matter in real life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Final Score: Reality \u2013 49, Climate Hysteria \u2013 0<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          At the end of the day, the only thing heating up is the nonsense coming from mainstream media<\/strong>. Climate change isn\u2019t ruining football\u2014bad officiating and Roger Goodell are<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          So, Jeffrey Kluger, thanks for the laugh. Maybe next time, try blaming climate change for Tom Brady\u2019s retirement, the Cowboys\u2019 annual playoff choke, or the Jets still being terrible<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          That\u2019d be more believable than this nonsense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
