The&nbsp;<em>Mail&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-14175033\/Storm-Darragh-UKs-Biggest-solar-farm-pieces.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">has more<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hundreds of panels at the giant 190-acre Porth Wen solar farm in Anglesey, North Wales \u2013 only built two years ago \u2013 were blown off their mountings, some ripped to shreds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The site at Llanbadrig, in the north of the island which is owned by French power firm EDF Energy and powers up to 9,500 households, now needs significant repairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Elsewhere on the island of Anglesey, blades were sheared off a&nbsp;wind turbine&nbsp;which then reportedly caught fire.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img \u201cUnfortunately our Porth Wen Solar Farm has sustained damage during Storm Darragh. We are currently assessing the extent of the damage and conducting a controlled clean up.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOnce the initial recovery efforts are complete and the damage is fully assessed, we will carry out a full investigation and when safe to do so, resume generation.
