The Global Initiative for Information Integrity on Climate Change<\/strong> is a joint partnership between the Brazilian Government, the <\/em>UN Secretariat<\/em><\/a> and UNESCO.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bringing together countries, international organizations, and stakeholders worldwide, it aims to promote and defend information integrity on climate change, address disinformation, and enhance climate change awareness and action. It includes a global fund which will finance research into disinformation on climate change and initiatives to promote information integrity.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWithout access to reliable information about climate disruption we can never hope to overcome it. Through this initiative, we will support the journalists and researchers investigating climate issues, sometimes at great risk to themselves, and fight the climate-related disinformation running rampant on social media.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a bit rich, given the torrent of disinformation emanating from the UN!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What they want, of course, is to suppress any information that casts doubt on the official line about climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It appears that the UK will bear a large share of the funding, as the only other contributors are Chile, Denmark, France, Morocco and Sweden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s good to know our taxes are being so wisely spent!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile the head of OFCOM, Melanie Dawes, is still a Member of the WEF\u2019s Global Coalition for Digital Safety, tasked with suppressing \u201cdisinformation\u201d:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
