We\u2019re taking a break this month from the tiresome comparison of NASA satellite data with real-time surface stations reporting to bring you this graph (OK, it\u2019s our straight red line) from the Washington Post<\/em>:<\/p>\n\n\n

As you can plainly see, the supposed \u201cglobal temperature\u201d has been cooling for 485 million years. But you may be thinking, are global temperatures from that far back really credible? Here\u2019s the answer: As there is no such physical thing as \u201cglobal temperature,\u201d all guesstimates of such an imaginary thing are equally valid.
