Recall how Greta Thunberg\u2019s movement was in the news everywhere, and FridaysForFuture was leading a major youth movement to a new future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At one point, the German Greens moved to drop the voting age to 16, in a bid to capture even more votes. Some people were even speculating that Germany would soon see a Green Chancellor!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Nosedive in polls<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then, in 2021, the German Greens came into power in a coalition together with the SPD socialists and FPD liberals. Immediately they began to implement all kinds of their nutty green ideas and, for the first time, Germans began to realize just exactly what it all really meant: energy supply problems and economic woes manifested by high inflation, skyrocketing interest rates and the collapse of industrialization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visions of a green utopia suddenly turned into a dystopian nightmare and a bleak future outlook. All the hype surrounding the Greens melted away faster than a snowman in hell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One age group that has since really woken up is the German U18 group, i.e. youths under age 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Thuringia: Greens lose staggering 83% of the youth support&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"723\" height=\"407\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Zb-Sn_eIi2k?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today Kolja Barghoorn at his&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Zb-Sn_eIi2k&amp;t=51s\"><em>Aktien mit Kopf<\/em>&nbsp;site here reports<\/a>&nbsp;that a stunning 83% of the youth have since turned their backs on the Green Party in the state of Thuringia, where in September there will be critical state elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Thuringia, 9000 youths under age 18 were asked in a survey who they would vote for. In 2019 the Greens pulled in 21.7% of the vote from youths. But in the latest results, only a measly 3.7% voted for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>This means the Greens in Thuringia have lost a stunning 83% of their support from the German youth!&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Barghoorn calls the development \u201ca blue miracle\u201d, in reference to the official color of the powerfully rising AfD conservative party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>79% abandon Greens in Saxony<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the eastern state of Saxony (Sachsen) \u2013 where state elections are slated in September as well \u2013 the results are similar, with massive losses for the Greens and huge gains for the rightwing AfD, see&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/jungefreiheit.de\/politik\/deutschland\/2024\/u18-wahl-in-sachsen-afd-raeumt-ab-gruene-am-ende\/\"><em>Junge Freiheit<\/em>&nbsp;here<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Saxony, the Greens were only able to get 5.7% in the survey, compared to 27.3% in 2019 \u2013 that\u2019s a drop of 21.6.
