Ukrainian energy infrastructure has been&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/7008613\/ukraine-russia-power-sector-frontline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hit hard<\/a>&nbsp;by the ongoing war, and the U.S. government has approved at least $175 billion of assistance to the Ukrainians since Russian forces crossed into Ukrainian territory,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfr.org\/article\/how-much-us-aid-going-ukraine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according<\/a>&nbsp;to the Council on Foreign Relations.&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2024\/06\/26\/pentagon-62-million-ukraine-weapons-aid-lost-destroyed-doesnt-know-which\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">(RELATED: Pentagon Says $62 Million In Ukraine Weapons Aid Was \u2018Lost Or Destroyed\u2019 \u2014 But It Doesn\u2019t Know Which)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trump Weighing Plan To Cut Off Ukraine Aid Unless Kyiv Agrees To Negotiate Peace Deal With Moscow<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/J4WXXoZmUY\">https:\/\/t.co\/J4WXXoZmUY<\/a>\u2014 Daily Caller (@DailyCaller)&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DailyCaller\/status\/1805624494100259122?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 25, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Specifically, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2023\/08\/25\/mamma-mia-ukraine-corruption-scandal-pasta\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ukrainian government<\/a>&nbsp;is aiming for green energy generation to provide 33% of the power needed for heating and cooling systems, 29% for overall electricity generation and 17% of the power consumed for transportation, according to Reuters. While the government did not disclose what percentage of power demand is currently met by green energy generation, some local media reports have pegged the figure at about 10%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The war in Ukraine continues to rage nearly two-and-a-half years after it started. Ukrainian forces have broken into Russia\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2024\/08\/14\/moscow-moves-troops-ukraine-incursion-russia-kursk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kursk region<\/a>&nbsp;in recent weeks and taken control of Russian territory, showing that the fighting may not wind down any time soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The manpower situation for the Ukrainian side has also become an increasingly significant problem, with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/ukraine-troops-killed-zelenskyy-675f53437aaf56a4d990736e85af57c4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tens of thousands<\/a>&nbsp;of soldiers having perished in the war to date. The Ukrainian military has started to send thousands of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2024\/07\/01\/ukrainian-convicts-hit-frontlines-war-russia-drags-on\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">convicts<\/a>&nbsp;to the front lines to take up arms in response to its numbers problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Russian forces have damaged or otherwise incapacitated approximately half of Ukraine\u2019s energy generation infrastructure with drone attacks and airstrikes over the course of the war, according to Reuters.
