We the people must speak up.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is formally called \u201cMeeting the requirements of the Priority Climate Action Plan for EPA\u2019s Climate Pollution Reduction Grant Program,\u201d and Alaska\u2019s slim green lobby is winning at the expense of the state\u2019s indigenous resources and natural wealth. A bright light on this alien takeover can stop the takeover, however.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Background<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Life is full of letdowns for conservatives in Alaska under the concerted efforts of Governor Dunleavy.&nbsp;Honoring a promise to abide by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (<a href=\"https:\/\/gov.alaska.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/The-Alaska-Standard.pdf\">Alaska Standard<\/a>), his administration submitted the State of Alaska\u2019s Priority Sustainable Energy Action Plan&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.epa.gov\/system\/files\/documents\/2024-03\/ak-priority-sustainable-energy-plan.pdf\">(PSEAP)<\/a>&nbsp;plan to the EPA in March of 2024.&nbsp;This is the initial plan required to access Climate Pollution Reduction Grant&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.epa.gov\/inflation-reduction-act\/climate-pollution-reduction-grants\">(CPRG)<\/a>&nbsp;funds brought to us by the Inflation Reduction Act.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On July 22, 2024, the EPA&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.epa.gov\/inflation-reduction-act\/climate-pollution-reduction-grants\">proclaimed<\/a>, \u201cEPA has announced selected applications to receive over $4.3 billion in Climate Pollution Reduction Grants to implement community-driven solutions that tackle the climate crisis, reduce air pollution, advance environmental justice, and accelerate America\u2019s clean energy transition.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Led by the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/dec.alaska.gov\/\">Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation<\/a>&nbsp;(DEC), the non-partisan nonprofit&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.akml.org\/\">Alaska Municipal League<\/a>&nbsp;will \u201cconduct the greenhouse gas emissions inventory [produced by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.constellationenergy.com\/?_gl=1*1jhb1dr*_gcl_au*MTA1NDczODA3Ni4xNzIyODcyMzE2\">Constellation Energy<\/a>, \u201ca leader in the clean energy transition\u201d], collaborate with Tribal governments conducting their parallel planning efforts, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and produce the PSEAP and CSEAP.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The CSEAP, Comprehensive Sustainable Energy Action Plan, is phase two of the plan with the report stating, \u201cthe State recognizes that a more substantial undertaking is ahead, in producing the Comprehensive Climate Action Plan (CCAP) over the coming year, and that this effort will require more detailed analysis and thorough review of opportunities for climate pollution reduction.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Forty-five states now have climate action plans.&nbsp;States opting to keep the Climate Industrial Complex at bay were Florida, Iowa, Kentucky, South Dakota and Wyoming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why Alaska?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alaska has miniscule emissions, as in less than one tenth of one percent of the the total U.S.&nbsp;<strong>[1]<\/strong>&nbsp;Put simply, this plan is about how we need to react to ostensibly lower our carbon footprint as if that is a valid concern at all with the report stating<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ultimately, nearly every currently available federal grant opportunity includes reference to the need for projects to advance carbon reduction. The State will evaluate individual opportunities alongside CPRG investments to leverage to the greatest extent possible.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Statewide GHG emissions are tabulated, and it is no surprise that industrial emissions from natural gas and transportation emissions from jet fuel are at the top of the list.&nbsp; Making reference to the Carbon Offset Program, passed by the Alaska Legislature in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.akleg.gov\/PDF\/33\/Bills\/SB0048Z.PDF\">2023<\/a>, the direct metric listed is the \u201cnumber of in-development and accredited carbon removal projects on state lands\u201d and a secondary measure metric is the \u201cconstruction of electric vehicle charging stations.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Carbon credit programs are bogus with the largest accredited and world leading certifier, Verra, being in the hot seat for over 90% of their offset credits being largely&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/environment\/2023\/jan\/18\/revealed-forest-carbon-offsets-biggest-provider-worthless-verra-aoe\">worthless<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/organizations\/verra\/\">Verra<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/organizations\/tpg-global-llc\/\">Anew<\/a>, both World Economic Forum partners, were invited to Juneau for expert testimony on the carbon offset legislation.&nbsp; The legislature was notified of Verra\u2019s fraudulent practices during public testimony on the bill, but it passed 58-2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Goals<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Goals of the plan include leveraging federal funding for an \u201cimpactful transformation,\u201d delivering \u201cequitable benefits,\u201d \u201csignificantly diversifying power generation\u201d and in its aim to reduce its carbon footprint, \u201cthe state is focusing on key sectors like transportation and energy production that contribute significantly to emissions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Objectives of the plan, 17 total, include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Promote and export technological and process innovation related to carbon emissions reduction and sequestration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase and promote growth opportunities in careers that contribute to addressing carbon reduction, including engineering, architecture and design, business and entrepreneurship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify ways to reduce fugitive emissions and increase carbon capture, use storage and sequestration.\u00a0 (Legislation\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.akleg.gov\/PDF\/33\/Bills\/HB0050Z.PDF\">passed<\/a>\u00a02024)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improve electric generation efficiency in the Railbelt through a regionwide system operator and economic dispatch.\u00a0 (Central planning as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.akleg.gov\/PDF\/33\/Bills\/HB0307Z.PDF\">passed<\/a>\u00a0in 2024 and discussed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.masterresource.org\/alaska-policy\/alasak-electric-utility-regulation-sb-257\/\">here<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare for and promote a rapid transition to electric vehicles (EV) and lower-carbon fuels for transportation; this includes providing the requisite EV charging infrastructure, as well as shared bulk purchasing of EVs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Establish a Green Bank to develop long-term state-led financing of clean energy and energy efficiency.\u00a0 (Legislation<a href=\"https:\/\/www.akleg.gov\/PDF\/33\/Bills\/HB0273Z.PDF\">\u00a0passed<\/a>\u00a02024)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Coincidentally, three of these key objectives also happened to be Governor Dunleavy\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/gov.alaska.gov\/governor-mike-dunleavy-signs-alaska-energy-bills\/\">priority \u201cenergy\u201d bills for 2024<\/a>.&nbsp;These bills were passed this legislative session, after the PSEAP was submitted to the EPA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sneaking It Through<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The central planners are not at all concerned with what the public has to say about these plans.&nbsp;Public comment was not taken on this plan. , as mentioned in the Plan Elements and Key Takeaways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The PSEAP is a preliminary analysis of the potential for climate pollution reduction in Alaska, and corresponding mitigation measures. DEC expects a more thorough review as part of the comprehensive planning process, including a robust stakeholder engagement and public consultation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The plan goes on to state that plans for future engagement are listed in another section, section VII, and within is not a single reference to public comment although they will \u201ccomplete a benefits analysis for the full geographic scope and population covered by the plan.\u201d&nbsp; How very nice of them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A key word count found the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Climate-51<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Disadvantaged-78<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carbon-89<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CO2-90<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Justice-15<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Afford\/Affordability-15<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reliable\/Reliability-11<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sustainable-48<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cSustainability\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Governor loves to use this word.&nbsp;It\u2019s best application is to the economic system that provides the most to the most, free-market capitalism, while providing for environmental protection via private property rights (see&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/MpMebedQjPM\"><strong>here).<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;But as a code word to Green New Deal<a href=\"https:\/\/www.akbizmag.com\/industry\/energy\/sustainable-energy-disrupting-the-future\/\">&nbsp;plans<\/a>, it means&nbsp;<em>governmental command-and-control<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201c<\/em>Sustainability\u201d is the new and perfect word to advance the unconstitutional United Nations global \u201csustainable\u201d development goals (SDGs).&nbsp;According to the American Policy Center, it is a trigger word to get us to voluntarily surrender our liberties to government control, and as seen in the billions of dollars being dangled over states to comply with the climate goals, that is no stretch.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sustainability in today\u2019s world and in the vast majority of corporate plans is the establishment for a new governance and is really just a signal to our overlords that we are willing and on board with their plans to fulfill the SDGs \u2013 and the only way to do that is by&nbsp;<em>rationing<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>degrowth<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SDG Goal 1:&nbsp; End poverty in all its forms everywhere.&nbsp; This simply means redistribution.&nbsp; Everyone will be equally poor.&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>Less<\/em>&nbsp;of everything for everyone (except the elite).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SDG Goal 7:&nbsp; Affordable and clean energy for all.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the energy side of things, we are systematically being reduced to unreliable energy commonly known as windmills and solar panels. You couldn\u2019t possibly supply energy for everyone using sources that supply&nbsp;<em>less<\/em>&nbsp;energy, so the result will be&nbsp;<em>less<\/em>&nbsp;energy for all, using more of your earnings to give you&nbsp;<em>less&nbsp;<\/em>through debt and inflation<em>.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When thinking about what is really meant by the term sustainability and where we go from here, the rule of thumb is&nbsp;<em>climate change overrules all other considerations<\/em>. Recall the words of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We know that they are lying, they know that they are lying, they even know that we know they are lying, we also know that they know we know they are lying too, they of course know that we certainly know they know we know they are lying too as well, but they are still lying. In our country, the lie has become not just a moral category, but the pillar industry of this country.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now&nbsp;<em>you<\/em>&nbsp;know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>[1]<\/strong>&nbsp;Alaska\u2019s total of 41 million metric tons of CO2 release in 2022 compares to the U.S. total of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.epa.gov\/ghgemissions\/inventory-us-greenhouse-gas-emissions-and-sinks\">6,343 mm<\/a>&nbsp;tons, or less than one tenth of one percent (0.0065).
