Climate Realism has previously debunked this latest round of record setting heat wave claims,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/climaterealism.com\/2024\/06\/new-york-state-june-2024-heat-wave-summary-a-nothingburger\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/climaterealism.com\/2024\/06\/cnn-goes-mann-overboard-on-eastern-u-s-heatwave\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here.&nbsp;<\/a>This article from the editorial board of&nbsp;<\/em>Issues &amp; Insights<em>, should put the alarming climate falsehood about the present summer heatwave, among other seasonal perennial \u201cextreme weather\u201d assertions the mainstream media commonly makes, firmly to bed.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/em><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">By the<a href=\"https:\/\/issuesinsights.com\/about-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&nbsp;I&amp;I Editorial Board<\/a><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s a summer heat wave going on, which gives journalists the opportunity to fill up their stories with climate change boilerplate. It no longer matters whether any of it is true. Just the opposite, in fact. If you point out the truth, you\u2019re accused of being a denier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sure, the data doesn\u2019t show an increase in the number of heat waves, or hurricanes, or tornadoes, or wildfires. But of the 50 states in the country, only 10 saw an increase in 95-plus degree days over those periods. To our eye, there\u2019s no discernible trend at all. A lot more are being recorded now than in 1950, but a closer look at the data shows the increase is only in the weakest category, EF0. There\u2019s been no increase in stronger twisters, and maybe even a slight decrease in EF4s and EF5s.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every hurricane season, we\u2019re told that they are getting more frequent and stronger. But there\u2019s no discernible trend there, either. We hear that every time there is one, so it must be true, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sorry, but it\u2019s another climate lie, as the chart below, from the National Interagency Fire Center, shows.
