Just how many are for real and how many are click-baiting, made-up stories is impossible to tell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But I feel the following one is genuine, and offers wisdom for everyone on opposite sides of hot-button issues:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"723\" height=\"407\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/V6DKsqTs9M8?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What the man says, especially at about the 4.00 mark, ought to be heeded by everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At 4:38, he nails it when it comes to how zealots and fanatics think:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The outliers don\u2019t matter at all. It\u2019s just the narrative \u2013 everything that supports the narrative is the only thing I could see. So, it becomes a thing where every part of your life just confirms what it is that you want to believe. You don\u2019t feel there\u2019s anyway you could be wrong about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We see this everywhere nowadays: emotionally charged fanatics let themselves get consumed by hatred and allowed their minds to get poisoned. It\u2019s impossible to reason with them. All you can do is discreetly drop bits of enlightenment here and there, and then hope someday they will moderate. Anything else is just a waste of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And, in the heated debate over controversial issues, it\u2019s up to you to decide whether or not you let others get under your skin, take control of you, and hijack your emotions. It\u2019s your choice. We shouldn\u2019t need a near-death experience to understand this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the context of the huge picture of eternity. some dickheads in this short little life of ours are not worth getting all wound up about.
