Environmental activists who have declared war on \u201cgas guzzler\u201d cars have vandalised an electric-powered vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The controversial group, who call themselves the Tyre Extinguishers<\/a>, targeted a Tesla car in Clifton, Bristol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The owner was out walking his dog while the group deflated his tyres and left their signature leaflet on the windscreen, which states: \u201cYour gas guzzler kills.\u201d \u00a0The Telegraph<\/a> has the story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It does not mark the first time the activists have seemingly erroneously deflated the tyres of electric vehicles, with a similar incident on a\u00a0Tesla in the London area of Notting Hill<\/a>\u00a0last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Strike fear\u2019<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Tyre Extinguishers have previously said they want to \u201cstrike fear\u201d into owners of \u201cgas guzzling\u201d SUVs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The owner of the all-electric environmentally friendly Tesla said the incident had \u201csomething comical about it\u201d but that he still felt \u201cslightly violated\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He told the BBC: \u201cIt\u2019s ironic, because I was trying to do the right thing by buying an electric car. It\u2019s ridiculous and inconvenient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI get why [climate activism] is happening, but I\u2019m not seeing the point of this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same incident, the car of Mark Moran MBE, the chief executive of Hydrate for Health Ltd, also had his tyres let down.<\/p>\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Faceless bunch of eco warriors\u2019<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMany [drivers] have been hit multiple times – mine twice for tyres and once for paint,\u201d he said, adding that the group \u201care simply a faceless bunch of eco warriors who want to force their will upon people, with zero rational debate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
