Message to friends and supporters of our EIKE institute,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2023, the German government and the institutes working for it once again left no stone unturned in their attempts to remove the pillars of our prosperity and our technological and scientific foundations with their nonsensical climate protection measures and the \u201cenergy transition\u201d, which has no scientific justification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, we have once again tried to counter this with factual and scientifically well-founded arguments. All of this would have been impossible without the help of generous donors. The result was a series of publications, including scientific studies and expert opinions, hundreds of articles on our website and dozens of videos on our YouTube page. One specialist publication, authored by two EIKE members, was even included by the United Nations in its Agenda 2030 \u201cSustainable Development Goals<\/a>\u201c. I mention this not because we are big UN fans, but to show how far our activities have spread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And again there were numerous attacks against us in 2023. In April, ZDF, \u2018Focus\u2019 and other leading media outlets were not above knitting up a conspiracy theory with an FDP speaker and us at the center<\/a>, who gave several scientific presentations at our institute a few years ago. ZDF quoted climate hysteric and political scientist (!) Dieter Plehwe, who confirmed that our institute was \u2018diametrically opposed to the climate policy to which the German government and thus also the coalition parties have committed themselves\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In May, an appearance by AfD MP Steffen Kotr\u00e9 on the Markus Lanz show<\/a> provoked an exchange of blows about our Institute\u2019s activities. The pseudo-satire show \u2018Neues aus der Anstalt\u2019 then also attacked us on ZDF. SPD leader Klingbeil even blamed us for a \u2018culture war\u2019 over climate protection, which was then reported on by other media such as Focus:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018The consensus on wanting to do something about climate change is crumbling.\u2019<\/p>\nBehind this is \u2018a well-functioning right-wing network\u2019. This was mainly referring to our institute. This free publicity worked in our favor, as many people only became aware of us through it.
We were also pleased that our experts were invited to hearings, lectures and interviews throughout the year. These included two interviews with\u00a0Prof. Dr. Horst-Joachim L\u00fcdecke on HKCM<\/a>, an investor channel on YouTube, each with almost a quarter of a million clicks, and a panel discussion with our\u00a0Vice Chairman Michael Limburg on the YouTube channel FairTalk TV<\/a>\u00a0(approx. 173,000 subscribers) in November.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

I myself was interviewed several times by the new TV channel AUF1 and also reached several hundred thousand viewers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So that we can maintain and expand this level of activity, I would ask you once again to support our activities with your donation. This is the only way we can continue in 2024. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. Unfortunately, we are currently arguing with the German Tax Authorities in court about our non-profit status and are not allowed to issue donation receipts until further notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, we need your help most of all for our annual conference, which is to be held again in May 2024 with international participation, probably in Munich, perhaps also in Salzburg. It\u2019s not all that easy, as many hotels no longer want to serve us. In addition, the book \u2018Die Biosph\u00e4re der hei\u00dfen Tiefe\u2019<\/a> by Thomas Gold has been published as a further volume in our scientific publication series and should be made available to as many multipliers and students as possible. This also needs to be financed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thirdly, we unfortunately need help again and again for our defense against lawsuits, our dispute with the tax office about our non-profit status and the technical protection of our website against external attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A fourth area in which we have become much more active in recent times is our video production. A wide range of climate and energy topics are now presented on our YouTube channel<\/a>, which now has more than 35,000 subscribers. New contributions are added almost every week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And finally, I would like to point out that publications in good journals already costs between 2,000 and 3,000 euros today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
