Then the temperatures \u201cfollowed a gradual decline towards present-day conditions\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cThe MTWA also showed an increasing trend from 9\u2009ka and reached a maximum of ca. 1.5\u00b0C greater than the present at ca. 4.5 and 5\u2009ka, followed by a gradual decline towards present-day conditions. \u2026 The TRACE-21k-I simulation
