Scientists estimate that, even with the strongest efforts to reduce greenhouse emissions and therefore limit climate change, by 2040 the climates of Northern Europe will no longer be cold and dry enough to sustain peat permafrost.

If I’m still alive in 2040, I’ll write about it then. But my guess (or speculation if you like) based on the history so far is that the permafrost will still be there in Siberia, no catastrophic tipping point will have occurred, and the doomsday goalposts will have been pushed to 2060 and beyond.

For more failed climate predictions, please visit our Failed Climate Predictions Timeline feature.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[1
691818056,691818102,691819743,691819251,691818090,691818071,691823916
0":"post-292396","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","6":"hentry","7":"category-uncategorized","8":"tag-climate-change","9":"tag-climate-crisis","10":"tag-climate-propaganda","11":"tag-climate-scare","12":"tag-climate-warning","13":"tag-environment","14":"tag-tipping-point","16":"fallback-thumbnail

https://i0.wp.com/climatescience.press/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/image-540.png?fit=1024%2C1024&ssl=1
Media Regurgitates IPCC’s ‘Final Warning’ on Climate Change – Without Realizing We’ve Already Passed 1.5°C
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) published the final part of its sixth assessment report (AR6) on Monday, March 20.
