This is an ongoing task for governments and will continue to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2026Full transcript:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/minister.dcceew.gov.au\/bowen\/transcripts\/interview-sabra-lane-abc-am-3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/minister.dcceew.gov.au\/bowen\/transcripts\/interview-sabra-lane-abc-am-3<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bowen is the minister who&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wattsupwiththat.com\/2023\/02\/21\/aussie-climate-minister-rejects-claims-the-grid-will-fail-when-the-generators-are-decommissioned\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in February this year<\/a>&nbsp;vehemently rejected suggestions his renewable heavy policies might lead to blackouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What a shame Climate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen is so anti-nuclear. In June last year&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wattsupwiththat.com\/2022\/06\/21\/aussie-energy-minister-nuclear-advocates-are-dangerously-ignorant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bowen explained people who think nuclear is better than renewable are \u201cdangerously ignorant\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Modern zero carbon nuclear plants generally run like clockwork, delivering predictable, dispatchable electricity 24\u00d77, 365 days per year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3.4GW of reliable nuclear capacity would have contributed significantly to Australia\u2019s grid stability this summer, and barring a transmission line failure, would likely have all but eliminated the risk of a summer blackout.
