Unconservative?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conservatism is about being pragmatic, fiscally competent and defending personal freedoms from the abuses of state power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is not conservative to force the public to spend tens of thousands on products they don\u2019t want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is not conservative to ban things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is not conservative to wreck the car industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is not conservative to endanger our electricity grid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is not conservative to damage the economy in pursuit of a target that is meaningless, given the continued growth in global emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is not conservative to blindly carry on with policies which are not working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Above all it is not conservative to bypass the public and effectively hand control of public policy to a tiny, unelected clique of extreme climate activists and the renewable lobby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
