And yet, on his watch, US oil production is poised to shatter all-time records set during the Trump administration.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>US oil output is now projected to rise to an average of 12.8 million barrels per day this year\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eia.gov\/outlooks\/steo\/?src=email\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">for the first time ever<\/a><em>, according to federal estimates released Tuesday.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>For context, that\u2019s about half a million barrels per day more than the prior annual record set in 2019.
