Even the Met Office had to admit it was \u2018more like autumn than summer\u2019. What a difference a year makes; after last year\u2019s July record\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.metoffice.gov.uk\/about-us\/press-office\/news\/weather-and-climate\/2022\/red-extreme-heat-warning-ud\">the Met Office proclaimed<\/a>\u00a0that \u2018The chances of seeing 40\u00b0C days in the UK could be as much as 10 times more likely in the current climate than under a natural climate unaffected by human influence\u2019.
