The Labour leader\u2019s outburst followed a presentation from climate and net zero spokesman Ed Miliband<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sir\u00a0<\/em>Keir Starmer<\/a>\u00a0said \u201cI hate tree huggers\u201d in an outburst that shocked his\u00a0<\/em>shadow cabinet<\/a>, it has been claimed.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0<\/em>Labour<\/a>\u00a0leader\u2019s furious remark followed an animated presentation from climate and net zero spokesperson\u00a0<\/em>Ed Miliband<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>setting out his revolutionary energy policies<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Miliband is said to have told his colleagues of the hope and change his policies would bring, receiving only a lukewarm reception from Sir Keir.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sir Keir \u201cthanked him for his presentation but said he\u00a0<\/em>wasn\u2019t interested in hope and change<\/a>\u201d, according to a source.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The source told\u00a0The Sunday Times: \u201cHe was more interested in creating sustainable new jobs to replace jobs in old sectors that were being lost. He then said he was not interested in tree huggers, before adding to everyone\u2019s surprise, \u2018In fact, I hate tree huggers\u2019.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Left wing British opposition leader\u00a0Keir Starmer<\/a>\u00a0is on track to be Britain\u2019s next prime minister, assuming the Tories don\u2019t shuffle the deck a few more times, once they accept what a vote loser Prime Minister\u00a0Rishi Sunak<\/a>\u00a0is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The British \u201cConservatives\u201d have led Britain to the brink of economic ruin with their nut zero policies driving up energy prices, and their incompetent big government socialism, and rightly deserve to be dumped at the next election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My reservation about this, a fear I\u2019m sure is shared by many, is Labour is currently on track to be even more committed to green energy than the Conservatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But will Labour actually follow through on this net zero commitment?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keir Starmer seems to be claiming his priority is jobs. How will Starmer respond, when no matter what he does, the promised green jobs fail to materialise?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have no way of knowing whether Keir Starmer\u2019s Labour will do a better job of managing the economy than Britain\u2019s current crop of useless Conservatives. But one point in Labour\u2019s favour, Labour would have to make a real effort to do worse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
