class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The United Auto Workers (UAW) is going after President Joe Biden\u2019s so-called \u201cgreen energy\u201d agenda for its wage-cutting outcomes while showering billions in American taxpayer money on the three largest automakers in the nation: Ford, General Motors (GM), and Stellantis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of Biden\u2019s Inflation Reduction Act, passed last year, automakers are set to enjoy a massive windfall via tax credits for electric vehicles (EVs) made in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UAW President Shawn Fain, as well as the union\u2019s members in Lordstown, Ohio, are sounding the alarm on severe cuts to auto workers\u2019 wages as a result of the Biden administration\u2019s push to steer automakers towards EVs, enticing them with federal subsidies.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">OUR DEFINING MOMENT.<br><br>A new Lithium exposure can cause acute and long term health issues, up to and including dementia like brain injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UAW President Shawn Fain also criticised Biden\u2019s subsidies for billionaires, which don\u2019t seem to be \u201ctrickling down\u201d to members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a real challenge to Biden\u2019s administration, for one of his allies to come out and criticise him like this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shawn Fain is not criticising the principle of Biden\u2019s green transition. But he\u2019d definitely like a lot more of that just transition Biden keeps promising to flow to his members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
