It\u2019s the Telegraph\u2019s turn to catastrophise summer!<\/mark><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Ian points out, night herons have been a common sight for years in Britain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For instance, Coward\u2019s 1926 bird book has this listing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is clearly shown when he repeats the tired old lie that puffins are dying out because of climate change. A bit of research would have told him that puffins are actually thriving off the Pembrokeshire coast, and are only in decline elsewhere because of industrial sand eel fishing in the North Sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wonder what Christopher Booker would have made of this latest puerile rubbish!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
