The month was normal in terms of temperature using the 1991-2020 climate mean and drier than normal.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/eike-klima-energie.eu\/2023\/05\/31\/wechselhafter-verhalten-temperierter-mai-2023-in-deutschland-ein-wonnemonat-mit-einigen-schoenheitsfehlern\/\"><strong>May has shown no warming trend for almost four decades<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>By&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/eike-klima-energie.eu\/2023\/05\/31\/wechselhafter-verhalten-temperierter-mai-2023-in-deutschland-ein-wonnemonat-mit-einigen-schoenheitsfehlern\/\">Stefan K\u00e4mpfe, EIKE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Those who hoped for compensation after the cool April only got their money\u2019s worth at times in May 2023 \u2013 at times it was summery warm, but for the most part, very cool days prevailed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A cool start to the month was followed by a cool period, and in the last third of the month the \u201cLittle Ice Saints\u201d made themselves felt with cold nights despite plenty of sunshine. In Weimar, the usual early summer drought started quite late this time; only in the last ten days of May.
