However, it\u2019s quickly dawning on most Germans, that the SPD coalition partners, The Greens, are in fact run by people who are woefully incompetent and ignorant when it cones to economics, biology and energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Federal Parliamentarian didn\u2019t even know first chancellor<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If that weren\u2019t bad enough, it\u2019s now been revealed that some of the Green Party politicians are embarrassingly ignorant when it comes to history \u2013 particularly that of their own modern country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When a reporter of German ZDF public television asked Green Party parliamentarian Emilia Fester, 25, who became the first chancellor of the German Empire in 1871 (Otto von Bismarck), she was completely gobsmacked:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"de\" dir=\"ltr\">Blamage beim Bundestag-Check: Emilia Fester wei\u00df nicht, wer Bismarck war &#8211; und das ist nicht leider nicht das Einzige.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/5sU2NreB69\">https:\/\/t.co\/5sU2NreB69<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Kbah5MpP9Z\">pic.twitter.com\/Kbah5MpP9Z<\/a><\/p>&mdash; pleiteticker.de (@pleiteticker) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/pleiteticker\/status\/1658884333115961345?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 17, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Disgrace in the Bundestag check: Emilia Fester doesn&#8217;t know who Bismarck was &#8211; and unfortunately that&#8217;s not the only thing.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She had no idea! Almost all Germans know Bismarck is the father and shaper of the modern German state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>And didn\u2019t know when the Federal Republic was founded<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The giggly Fester then revealed she didn\u2019t even know the year that today\u2019s Federal Republic of Germany had been founded (no, it wasn\u2019t 1945).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To give the readers here some idea of what stage of ignorance we are talking about here, this would be like an American not knowing who the first president of the United States was, or the day July 4th is celebrated! Surely some don\u2019t know, but they would never end up in public office, let alone the U.S. Senate or the House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These Greta Thunberg generation youths are the very people who want to tell the rest of the world how to produce energy and take control of the climate\u2019s behavior.
