class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Great Barrier Reef is \u201cin wonderful shape\u201d, according to IPA Senior Fellow Dr. Jennifer Marohasy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI was just diving off Cairns a few weeks back and it\u2019s looking as wonderful as ever,\u201d Dr. Marohasy told Sky News Australia host Rowan Dean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDo you know why we have record coral cover \u2013 it\u2019s because for decades now both the number and intensity of cyclones hitting the Great Barrier Reef has actually been decreasing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAnd that\u2019s not something the Bureau of Meteorology is telling us.\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube
