ahead of its target for cutting emissions of greenhouse gases. &#8230; Regular breakdowns of the coal-fired power plants that supply more than 80% of South Africa\u2019s electricity mean that less carbon dioxide is being pumped into the atmosphere and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2023-05-10\/south-africa-is-suffering-from-self-inflicted-wounds-central-bank-governor-says\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">daily climate-warming gases from the world\u2019s 14th-biggest emitter is already falling even though its Nationally Determined Contribution, a target adopted by the cabinet in 2021, only forecast a decline href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.co.uk\/article\/how-to-fix-global-warming-bring-back-rationing-kqqnsn9sn\">story<\/a>&nbsp;headlined: \u201cHow to fix global warming?
