contradicted by observations.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scientists reporting on the contrasting albedo effects of clouds in the Northern vs. Southern Hemispheres (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/journals.ametsoc.org\/view\/journals\/clim\/36\/6\/JCLI-D-22-0410.1.xml\">Blanco et al., 2023<\/a><\/strong>) assess clouds have a \u201cprofound\u201d effect on the global radiation budget and thus our climate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Southern Hemisphere is cloudier than the Northern Hemisphere at the same latitudes, and hence the sea surface temperatures are colder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In contrast to the claim that warmer temperatures fuel more storms and stronger winds, cloud-albedo-induced colder temperatures are viewed as a trigger (\u201ccloud-controlling factor\u201d) for the stronger Southern Hemisphere\u2019s wind speeds and storm tracks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the opposite of what is claimed by proponents of anthropogenic global warming, as it implies we get fewer or less intense storms as the surface
