A fleet of e-cargo bikes which Norwich businesses can use to make deliveries \u2013 and cut emissions \u2013 will be made available in the summer.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Norfolk County Council has successfully applied for \u00a3170,000 to provide 10 vehicles, as part of efforts to cut pollution in the city centre.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Businesses will be able to borrow the e-cargo bikes \u2013 electrically assisted bicycles, tricycles or quadricycles which can carry cargo \u2013 to deliver packages to homes and other business premises.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I cannot see much interest in e-cargo bikes anyway, as their carrying capacity is strictly limited, and speeds are low. After all, you still have to pedal, so distances will be small.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the Green councillor, who looks like he should still be in school, is delighted!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
