The \u201cTwitter Files\u201d remind us how wokeness has infected the tech elites.<\/mark><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With each new batch of the \u201cTwitter Files,\u201d it\u2019s becoming increasingly apparent that\u00a0Twitter censors were not only duplicitous scoundrels<\/strong>\u00a0aiming to advance an agenda\u00a0but also incompetents who failed to see the consequences<\/strong>\u00a0of their actions. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether it was\u00a0suppressing the Hunter Biden story<\/a>,\u00a0shadow banning and de-amplifying popular conservative figures and certain medical professionals<\/a>, and\u00a0removing a sitting president of the United States<\/a>\u00a0from the platform, they\u00a0convinced themselves that they were making the world a better place.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At no point did they seriously question themselves beyond violating their own rules. It never dawned<\/strong> on them that their constant gaslighting jeopardizes the freedom, health, and safety of all Americans.<\/strong> It seemed to matter little that they oversaw a platform that promised<\/strong> open public discourse but degenerated into a leftist propaganda outlet<\/strong> infested with bots<\/a> and child pornography<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only did these censors do real damage at the bidding of a corrupt FBI<\/a> but they ruined a potentially successful business.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before Elon Musk bought Twitter, there were few real conversations happening on the platform, and Twitter was relatively small<\/a> compared to other social media platforms. For the great majority of users, scrolling through one\u2019s Twitter feed was never an enlightening, connective, or even fun<\/strong> experience but more a mindless habit to pass the time.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seeing that this is the case, it\u2019s fair to ask what really drove the moderators to do what they did.<\/strong> They could have easily let the First Amendment be their standard for content moderation and sipped their lattes while attending useless meetings. Why did they feel the need to risk their cushy careers<\/a> by setting into motion a hostile takeover by Elon Musk and an incoming onslaught of lawsuits from users?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From any angle, this seems utterly foolish\u2014that is, except from the woke angle. While\u00a0rational actors would have understood the sheer destructiveness<\/strong>\u00a0of censoring users without cause, facilitating the rigging of elections, and endangering the public by denying them important information on a pandemic,\u00a0woke actors lack this capacity.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They operate on\u00a0feelings and self-regard, not evidence and logic<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elon Musk famously called wokeness a \u201cmind virus<\/a>.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It infects people\u2019s mental faculties and drives them to act and express themselves irrationally.\u00a0Gad Saad expounds upon this<\/strong>\u00a0in his book\u00a0The Parasitic Mind<\/a>. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He bemoans the decline of academic scholarship and intellectual debate at today\u2019s universities all in the name of establishing social justice. Of course, rather than create a more equitable and just world,\u00a0the woke swarm only achieves the opposite\u2014a world of unforgiving hierarchy and hypocrisy<\/strong>. But instead of learning from their failure, they double down and become ever more unreasonable.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Saad, this is less an ideology and more an \u201cidea pathogen.\u201d<\/strong> In his scientific opinion, victims of wokeness specifically suffer from \u201cOstrich Parasitic Syndrome (OPS),\u201d substituting for reality a fiction<\/strong> in which \u201cscience, reason, rules of causality, evidentiary thresholds, a near-infinite amount of data, data analytic procedures, inferential statistics, the epistemological rules inherent to the scientific method, rules of logic, historical patterns, daily patterns, and common sense are all rejected.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately it\u2019s\u00a0still an open question of how to \u201cdefeat wokeness,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0as Elon Musk\u00a0recently declared<\/a>. Anyone who has experienced an encounter with the woke infected knows that\u00a0exposing their falsehoods and contradictions<\/strong>\u00a0(\u201csunlight is the best disinfectant,\u201d or, in the new favored expression, \u201cdemocracy dies in darkness\u201d)\u00a0only makes them sicker and more dangerous.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is why the \u201cTwitter Files\u201d have mostly elicited\u00a0silence from the corporate media<\/a>. Maybe a few of them are pleading the Fifth and hoping the story goes away, but it\u2019s more likely that most don\u2019t understand what these revelations mean, nor do they really care.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So does that mean that\u00a0releasing and discussing the \u201cTwitter Files\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0is worthless? Not at all. Even if it doesn\u2019t cure the woke censors or their woke supporters, it\u00a0fortifies the intellectual immune system of everyone else<\/strong>. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Americans now know that they are not crazy; in truth, they are living through\u00a0a\u00a0new kind of totalitarianism<\/a>\u00a0where Big Tech platforms control speech, impose a social credit system, and fabricate overarching narratives out of thin air.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

While this is not exactly a consoling thought, it\u2019s at least\u00a0the beginning of a solution.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The problem has now been identified, and there are now enough informed members of society to have a constructive conversation about the issue. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This in turn could lead to\u00a0finding a cure to the woke pandemic.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If these problems continue going ignored and unchecked, the civilized world will surely crumble into ruin, adopting the same chaos, stupidity, and hypocrisy inherent in today\u2019s woke culture.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n
