Is Tesla falling apart? Elon Musk\u2019s dream company is becoming everything except sweet\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Electric cars are the technology of the future and by 2030, combustion engine cars won\u2019t even be sold in some countries, we are told.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reality collides with dream<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet, the inconvenient economic and technical realities of electric cars refuse to go away: they\u2019re expensive to acquire, maintain and operate, are harmful to the environment, difficult to recycle, have limited range and they are far from being CO2 neutral. In some regions, the CO2 breakeven point comes after the car\u2019s lifetime expires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So it\u2019s little wonder Tesla is struggling with layoffs at its Berlin Gigafactory and sales are falling worldwide, reports Germany\u2019s online Blackout News here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to an employee, there\u2019s \u201ccomplete chaos\u201d at the Berlin plant, low motivation due to the poor working conditions, and 5,880 vacancies because of the plant\u2019s difficulty attracting skilled workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Slow sales, large discounts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, Tesla sales figures are collapsing in China and other places globally. Already the company is offering customers in Germany high discounts to get rid of its growing stockpile of unsold cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTesla is offering a discount of up to 5,000 euros on the list price of existing vehicles on its website,\u201d\u00a0reports Blackout News<\/a>\u00a0\u201cIn addition, buyers are also to be allowed to fill up with free electricity for 10,000 kilometers at Tesla\u2019s fast-charging stations.\u201d The woes even lead Blackout News to speculate: \u201cEnd of the Tesla hype in sight?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
